I need to know a couple of things and would appreciate any help you can offer.

1)Can Agrimycin be used for general infections? Such as an injury that has become horribly infected? (I am already treating the area topically.)

2) What dosage should 1 bird (3 lbs) be given per day? (I know the mixture is 1 tsp per gallon. I do not have the package.) The bird is not wanting to drink so I am forcing the issue.

3) Can the med be mixed with food instead of water?

Thank you all in advance.

Jeez, wish I could help, but I've almost never medicated any of our flock, so don't know much about antibiotics I'm afraid. I do know that most meds need to be in the water instead of the feed.

Can you give us a bit more info on the problem you are treating?

need to put something into that eye asap, if nothing else neosporin w/o pain relief you can also buy antibiotic salve for eyes at the feed store, also give antibiotics in his drinking water..

I got my hands on some of the Agrimycin powder. We only have one feed store in the area and they never have anything. These are the same people that told me all I needed to feed was scratch and loaded my car with regular chicken feed when I asked for medicated chick starter.
