I opened my incubator last night and saw ants inside the incubator. I thought they were wasting their time because they could not get thru the shell. Then I noticed one egg pipped. And out came an ant thru the tiny hole! Then another one!!!!. I opened the large end of the egg and killed all the ants that I saw in the egg. My poor baby was getting bitten and could not do anything to protect itself. I put the egg back in the incubator (after spraying all around) and then helped it hatch out this morning. Seems ok right now. I guess time will tell if the ants did any damage. Anybody else ever have this problem?

We use comet cleanser sprinkled around on floor or ground to repel ants around our brooder. So far haven't had ant problem around incubator.

I had that exact problem once back in the day of using the little giant incubator. I sprayed around it with that ant defense stuff and it worked fine.

baby powder helps deter some types ants - just sprinkle around, they won't cross the path, and it's not so chemically.
