We recently just built 4 new nesting boxes. In the attached picture the one closest to me (I've circled it) was filled with tiny ants yesterday. Only that one. I emptied it, threw out the bedding, and replaced it with fresh but if they come back today is there any way to treat them? We just recently started using coffee grounds instead of sweet pdz but from everything I've read, coffee grounds repel ants. Also, they arent on the actual grounds, just the 1 nesting box that has only shavings. No eggs have been laid in there yet either.

Permethrin is safe around your chickens. You can spray the boxes, then put in fresh bedding when they dry.
