Ants in the coop? Suggestions?

DE works for me. I may be wrong but I believe I have heard boric acid is poisonious. Anyone else know?

don't know if it works on fire ants, but it works on every other insect we have around here (in michigan, no fire ants here), including ants, spiders, bees, wasps, hornets, earwigs, everything...

anyway, what IT is, is bifen IT (the generic of talstar 1). after it dries, it is supposed to be safe to be used around food preparation areas, children, etc.

spray it on it and let it dry. will protect up to 3 months, resisting rain. i apply it to my house monthly, though. same stuff i was paying a guy to come to my house and spray monthly (but one quart cost what he charged monthly; one quart sprays my house a year)

again, don't know if it works on FIRE ants, but it works on the bugs up here

fire ants are a deal breaker for me, as far as moving down south
