Hello! I am new to this site and new to hatching eggs but am a long time duck lover! This is very exciting.
I got 11 assorted eggs from Metzer's early Thursday afternoon and put them in the incubator Thursday evening. Should I have let them sit longer even if the weather is mild here? Low 80's… So it looks like I'm on day 2 officially. I couldn't resist peeking at a couple of them when I turned them this evening. It looks like there's a lot going on in this fist egg, but maybe not in a good way? It's a Cayuga egg. I just put it back in for now knowing it's way to early to make any official decisions. I also took a picture of it's neighbor, the Khaki Campbell. I maybe can make out a little darker spot under the #4 so I'm thinking it's a least a fertile one. Any thoughts to feed my new obsession here? Thanks!!
