My 2nd Duck Hatch!

These are their babies from the most recent hatch. All of the babies taht I think are from those hens are either spotty colouration and spotty feet or all one solid colour but with what like to be a bib. Sorry for me rambling on about them. Ducks and chickens are just so fun to me, seeing the different colours and breeds is amazing.

Hi, the dad was a weird grey and brown. Definitely not pure. I meant the girl on the *left* hahahah (apparently I can’t remember my lefts and rights . That drake on the right I think is a Welsh Harlequin crossed with the runner mix. He is the father of most of my ducklings but has thrown grey, spotty and all yellow

Apparently I can’t tell my rights and lefts apart either because I thought you were talking about the duck on the left
I was reading that the Runners can have the bibbed gene so it could be that is where your ducks got it. Cayuga x Runner x Khaki Campbell would make sense for the color of my ducks based on my very limited knowledge. But mixed breeds can really make some interesting colors. I still don’t know how my ducks produced buff colored ducklings

Yeah, the genetics are amazing . I would love updates on you flock. They are all so pretty! My runners are just plain brown . I would love some unique colours like yours!

They are still babies, born on the 11th. One older one born ~7th had orange bull and feet??? But the other yellows have grey bulls and orange feet. I think they are Welsh Harlequin x with my Rouen cross Campbell girl. I hope they look like harlequins!

Hi, if anyone is still on this thread some answers would be helpful . I have two girls that are IDENTICAL to your brown girl with the white front… do you know what breed she is?? I have been trying to figure it out for so long… they look liek duclairs! All of those ducks are beauties.

Oh jeez that’s a tough one I haven’t read the other replies yet, but they look just like some of my blue Swedish and black Swedish. Maybe they carry the chocolate gene? Not really sure. I remember a while back someone saying their black feathered duck with a white chest WASNT a Swedish, so that also leaves me more confused

What colour is your drake? My parents said I can’t get anymore ducks because I have too many and it’s getting out of hand . But I would love to get some ducks like yours in the future. What colours are Beauty and Fancy? Are the Lilac?

Fancy is the chocolate with the white bib. Beauty, I’m not sure what color she is, blue + chocolate? Is that lilac? I forget. Lovely, the grey duck, I’m pretty sure is blue.
I have 17 drakes - this is what happens when you grow up and your parents can’t tell you not to get more ducks. They live in a separate bachelor flock. A lot of them are chocolate with white bibs. I also have a blue dusky and a chocolate dusky (Khaki Campbell), a blue, a black Runner, 2 buffs, and 4 black dusky (I think that’s what it’s called

Wow that’s all so exciting! So much variety! I think I was think about the blue runners, they are amazing.
