from northern California!

That is wonderful to get your wife set up with chickens--she's going to be amazed at how much she enjoys her new hobby! Chickens are so great, and they'll keep her busy and happy and amused.

They're tons of fun!

Thats gonna be one big tractor for 25 hens, looking forward to seeing pixs of it. Good luck with your new hobby. I'm just getting back into it and am as excited as you. Building a 8X6 fixed coop with an attached 8X16 run...plus free range rights for the 10 pullets I've bought
Welcome to BYC!!!!!

It is SO COOL to hear from everyone around the country (and the globe!)! My wife is starting to get more involved and is receptive to me trying to teach her all I have learned about chickens from the knowledge on BYC. I talked w/ my carpenter friend and we should begin framing the tractor this weekend. I want to build it slowly to solve all problems as they crop up (hehehehe...I said CROP!...hehehehehe)

Welcome Bill...I am not too far from you. I live in Florence. Chickens are great and this site will help you and is a great place for you and your wife to enjoy Backyard Chickens. If I can help you in any all you have to is ask. I have about 35 chickens now and wish I could afford and have room for more.Good luck with your chicks. I have 32 eggs in the incubator that should hatch Super Bowl weekend.

Take care!

Reuben
