Any A/V geeks out there??

Maybe someone out here knows more than I do about A/V things... (well I KNOW someone else does, lol)

I just bought a video projector from ebay and my goal is to burn a DVD with video clips of scary halloweenish images on it, to be played in the background at our halloween party.
1st question - Can you use videos from You tube?

2nd question - What format must these files be in to work on a standard DVD?

3rd question - If I find a video I like, but don't like the music or sounds that's with it, can I burn the video, with another soundtrack playing?

I know it's alot, but any help would be appreciated!

Sorry, no help from me. I just hand my problems over to the family geek and his buddy and ask how much money, beer or brownies will this cost me? Money for components, consumables for labor.
