Any alternatives to a glass/plexi viewing window . . .

in a home made incubator? THe lid of my plastic cooler is very contoured and not at all suited to cutting a hole for a flat plexi glass window.

What else has anyone tried for viewing? X ray vision? Flexi-scope?
