Looking for breeders of quality Buff Orps,RIR, Wyndottes and other heavys in southern Minnesota. Looking for day olds and would pick up around March 20th,21st. only need 12-15 chicks, straight run. There is a fella in Owatanna that shows isi'nt there? Laurie.

It might be. Its really early for alot of the tiny chicks yet. Most people want to raise them outside and its a bit cold for that. The state is really cracking down on people for bird sales too. Anything under 5 months of age and you have to have a statement of origin from a licensed hatchery here in the state to be in compliance. That might really limit people bringing chicks to swaps if they have to get a special license to even sell them at one of those public swaps.

I know Tony Ewert has Triple T Orps. I think he's from Mountain Lake. Really nice orpingtons.....

We got rid of our BLR wyndottes last year. I know Jim Simmons from by Franklin got a pretty good breeder flock going out of babies from us last year.

If you want really good RIR, go to Adrian & Mary Ann Rademacher from Waconia MN.

I'm trying to get off that weekend! I'll definitely be in New Ulm. Saturdays are harder to get out of working at the casino though.

Amy, I'm brand new to the forum. I searched for Duane Urch and found this site. I saw that you had a pricelist for his poultry and was hoping that you could email it to me along with his contact info. I heard that he breeds Black Javas(a breed I've had a pickle of a time tracking down).
Thank you
Laura
