Or New England? Or in the Northeast?
We lost our really wonderful RIRs to a bear last fall and we are bear-proofing and getting ready for new chickens. I have decided to try the Speckled Sussex, which have always appealed to me. I would like to eventually breed and show, so I want to make sure I get good stock and make good local contacts.

Does anyone know of someone breeding in my neck of the woods?

Thanks

I would like to know this as well

I'm headed to the Hampton Falls swap this Saturday and Speckled Sussex is one breed that would sorely tempt me not to come home empty handed. I'm not so concerned about show quality, they'll just be going into the laying flock for a bit of variety.

Bantams or standards? There's a lady in MA who raises SQ bantams. Unfortunately no idea on the standards.

I'd prefer standard.

I'm hoping to find a local breeder who shows and is willing to share wisdom with a newbee.

I will keep your eggs in mind, RareRoo, if I find I need to go that route.

This is forum is such a great resource. Thanks all for helping me in my quest...
