That's too bad that your church experiences have been not so good. I can believe it, though! I am very thankful for my church! I go to a Church of God (based out of Anderson, Indiana). Mine is very friendly, inviting, and is Bible based. I know some may laugh when they read Bible based, but jeaucamom is right, there are non bible believing churches out there.

Yep, I am church going. It can be hard to find the right church. I know that we visited many before, thankfully, finding our home church. I don't think that you necessarily have to sit in a church pew, but should fellowship with believers. You are doing that.

I do that regularly. I do subscribed to "When two or more gather in His name..." My issue with churches has not been the teachings, but the judgement from members. Even Calvary Chapel. I have several friends that are non believers, live "alernative lifestyles", etc. And I found myself being labeled as "needing help". My problem is that I LOVE going to church and the worship music and hearing the word. I do not like the conversations afterwards.

I am very thankful to be in the house church setting we are in now.
Previous church?
THe women have an awesome time putting down their husbands.
I vowed at a very young age to never publically tease my dh, or to give him a bad name.
After moving to alaska and getting married, we attended the church dh grew up in.
I went to one ladies gathering, and vowed to never attend another one.
With how comfy they were putting their hubbies down behind their backs, I wondered wht they did to them in their presence?
I wish I had reproved those ladies now. But one does not feel comfy doing that to the leaderships wives, LOL!

Please hold my family up in prayer

I had my father-in-law, Fred (93), at a hematologist yesterday, the doctor came in the room and said to get Fred to the hospital, immediately. His kidney function had dropped to 10%. As Fred and I were in the elevator, leaving the office, my cell rang. My grandmother (80) had a massive stroke and was dying 2 states away.

I couldn't leave Fred. My grandmother died at 1:55 am
