Irish Catholic! Don't go to church though... Catholic mass always makes me feel unworthy, like I'm going to go downstairs.... But I do try to live right, and obey the faith..

I'm an Irish Catholic too

My Mom was 100% Irish, so I am 50%....

Does anyone here celebrate Pesach (Passover)? Anyone cleaning out their homes of leaven??

Mahonri, you said,
The last week of Jesus mortal life began on Friday, March 25th, AD 33

You might want to recheck your dates before giving the sermon. Herod the Great died in 4BC. Herod ordered the death of the young in Bethlehem. Because he died in 4BC Christ lived no later than 29AD since he was born during the life of Herod. The misconception of Jesus' birth starting year 0 is just that, a misconception.

Suz, I understand the Passover feast, but Christ cleaned my house of leaven when he saved me.

ALL of it pointed to Christ... all of it is prophetic and points to his first coming. We celebrate it symbolically and as we do it all, we emphasize the TRUE meaning behind it all. That's why we get rid of the leaven, because Yeshua got rid of all the leaven (sin) in our lives when we were saved. It is an incredible reminder of all He did for us. As I am cleaning out my house of leaven, and trying to be thorough with it, the Lord uses that as a way to remind me and my kids of what our attitude toward sin should be...

Jesus was born in AD not BC was't he? I know he was between 33 and 35 when he died. This is actually much debated, but the Hebrew year is only 360 days so we may never be able to peg it to a definitive date...but Mahonri...that being said I'd not put an exact date with the sermon. Otherwise you will have folks sitting there calculating it in their heads instead of listening to the message
