AD and BC are inventions of man not God. The Jewish people use BCE, before christian era. The bible just says that Herod died after the killing of the young. History records the death as 4BC. Jesus was 33.5 years old when he died.

I love teaching the word of God, not out of malice for any group but out of love for the word itself. When I'm not teaching the word or studying it, I like music that speaks to me. You might like these samples of music I like.

Praise God! I am saved by Christ and would like to share part of my testimony. When I was 14 mos. old, I was severely abused by a family member and went into shock. My mother came home from work and found me catatonic and barely breathing. She took me to a local hospital where they pricked all my fingers and could get no blood or (reaction). The doctor said I was dying and there was nothing he could do. My mother wrapped me up and called her sister in hysterics. My Aunt Grace persuaded Mom to let her take me to church which was starting almost immediately. In the little old fashioned Pentecostal church, all the ladies gathered round and poured their hearts into prayer. My aunt sadly returned me to my mother unchanged. However, as my mother kept the frightening night watch, I did change! By morning, my color and faculties were back. I sat up, asked for a bottle, and drank the whole thing. Hallelujah! He is real! I didn't accept him for myself until I was 15. Then, after a few weeks of going to church with my older sister, I knelt in the shower and prayed "God, if this is really real, I'll do it." It was, I did and we've had 40 years of sunshine and storms. He has miraculously saved my life at least twice since then. I live in gratitude knowing that without him I truly would not exist.
Just a little comment on a previous post: a body that is a business isn't necessarily a prostitute. It could be a dancer or an athlete.

Me, too! If everyone would just follow the Bible, can you imagine what an awesome world it would be?
I had posted this for Easter, so I'm posting it again for this thread.

THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS

At the age of 33,
Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.

At the time,
crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst
criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was
even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike
other criminals condemned to death by
crucifixion, Jesus was to be nailed to the
cross by His hands and feet.

Each nail
was 6 to 8 inches long.

The nails
were driven into His wrist, not
into His palms as is commonly
portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that
extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew
that when the nails were being hammered into the
wrist, that tendon would tear and
break, forcing Jesus to use His back
muscles to support himself so that He could
breath.

Both of His feet
were nailed together. Thus He was forced to
support Himself on the single nail that
impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could
not support himself with His legs because of the pain,
so He was forced to alternate between arching His
back, then using his legs just to continue to
breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the
suffering, the courage. Jesus endured this
reality for over 3 hours.

Yes, over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of
suffering? A few minutes before He died,
Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water
from his wounds.

From common images
we see wounds to His hands and feet, and even the spear wound
to His side... But do we realize His wounds
were actually made in his body. A hammer
driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped
and an even larger nail hammered through the arches, then a
Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But
before the nails and the spear, Jesus was whipped and
beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the
flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His
face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The
crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men
would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood
to bleed out, only water poured from His
wounds. The
human adult body contains about 3.5 liters
(just less than a gallon) of blood

Jesus poured all 3.5
liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His
members; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyond
that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His
chest..

All these without
mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying His own
cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his
face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight,
only for its higher part, where His hands were
nailed).

Jesus had
to endure this experience, so that you can have free
access to God.

So that your sins
could be "washed" away. All of them, with no exception!
Don't ignore this situation.

JESUS
CHRIST DIED FOR YOU!

For you, who now
read this e-mail. Do not believe that He only died for
others (those who go to church or for pastors, bishops,
etc).

He died for you!

As We All go down lifes long winding road, may Christ Go...

before you to show you the way!

behind you to encourage you!

above you to watch over you!

beside you to befriend you!

beneath you to support you!

and within you for strength and peace!

Please be in prayer for my father-in-law. He was released from the hospital Friday, but I don't believe his kidneys are functioning much at all.

My husband is driving him to the emergency room, now.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but we do not celebrate Easter, rather, we remember what Christ did on resurrection day during Passover. Remember, Easter was celebrated long before Christ was crucified.
