Any CA people need a pretty peahen?

Wow! You guys are good rescuers

of every species!

Geez, I thought you just wanted rescued Pea stories. Since we are covering all species, 3 of my chickens are rescues, my turkey is a rescue, one of our dogs, and most of our 8 cats as well.

Aw, reminds me of hand rearing parrots, congratulations Momma , we had one heck of a storm this morning before dayligh, flash flood, wind and really really bad lighting, found a couple guinea keets face down in the grass crying so cold ,little boogers were unable to move, got them in the hatcher warming up so i can return them to their mommas, them guineas hatched out a passle of them and have made it for 2 weeks already very proud of them, they finely figured it our and i am sure the dogs taking out 4 snakes in a month was a big help as i am sure that is what gets them most of the time.

One thing about it is they are problem much easier to tube feed than a pea since this is basically how their momma feeds them.
You feeding Kaytee formula? that is what we used then weaned them to monkey biscuts softened in water.

Kaytee is what I'm using.

P-Dawg was a rescue... Three years ago I found him in the feedstore's brooder when he was 2-3 days old with splay legs and curled toes. So I brought him home, taped his legs and feet and had to tube him since he wouldn't eat or drink on his own.

Now that this store has signs of MG and/or MS, I will not be rescuing anything from there again, lol. Don't think I'll have to worry as their birds have been so sick that they aren't laying.

Kathy, if you haven't already, maybe you could post a review of that feed store on Yelp to warn potential bird buyers of the danger?
It's scary to think of people infecting their flocks by bringing sick birds home unwittingly.
