I have a 6'x12' chicken run / coop that I need to put siding on. About 1/3rd of it is open with hardware cloth, the rest is OSB and will be covered with hardware cloth.

I need to put some sort of siding on it. I need to do it on the cheap, but I'm not really sure what I can use.

l can get 10' long scratch and dent metal roof panels for $15 each from the local amish supply store. That is what I am using for the roof. The problem is, you can't get all the same color. For a roof I can't see, I don't care. But for the sides...

The 4x8 sheets of siding at Lowes are $40, that is far outside my price range.

I found I think what I'm gonna use! A guy on facebook marketplace selling 48"x50" pieces of 1/2" plywood.

I'm gonna rip them with my table saw down to 6 inch wide and then do ship lap on the side of the coop and then paint it with some oil base barn paint from Rural King.

Pallets are good if broken down, and wood fence panels.
Have seen someone using the wooden trellis, it allows good airflow and is small enough holes that any chick over a few weeks old can’t get through it.
