Hi all.

I've got these 10 week old chicks and have no idea what breed or gender they may be.
Maybe you guys can help. I dont have any pics of the daddy but he was a big white rooster.

Here's a pic of their mumma hen (with her babies at just a few days old)

This is mumma hen again and the chicks at about 7 weeks

Now this is chick 1

Chick 2

And chick 3

So if you guys have any ideas, id greatly appreciate your input.

Not sure of Mom's breed, but Chick #1 and #3 look like pullets and I would say #3 is a roo. As for Dad I would say maybe a white rock or possibly a white leghorn, but they look to be too big bodied for leghorn.

I've been thinking the same for the 3rd one. 'He' hasn't crowed yet or anything, but has started making a different
sound compared to the other two. I really hope atleast one of them is a roo!

Sorry after I read my post I made a mistake! Chick 1 and 3 look like pullets and chick 2 looks like a roo. Need to go to bed can't think straight!

I so hope you guys are right! I really want a roo. Do you think 'he' shoul have started to crow by now?

Nah, it's still a little early to worry if you haven't heard crowing. It's kind of a personal thing with every roo. He may just not have anything he feels like crowing over.

Count your blessings... I've had roos start crowing at 2 weeks and not stop all day long! I think you are pretty safe to assume that 2 is a roo.
