Any experience with bielefelders?

I'm wondering If anyone has any experience with bielefelders?
How are they in the cold, in the heat, lifespan? etc.
I hatched 3 bielefelders. They got to nine months, and the Mississippi humid heat hit. They walked around with their beaks open and panting constantly. We have plenty of shade and I changed the water frequently because it became hot. They would not drink it. I tried cold watermelon; they wouldn’t eat it. I bought a kids pool and put some brinks in it and some birdseed to float so maybe they would get some water, or get their feet wet. Nope. I’ve said all this to say I have had two hens die since the hot weather hit. All I have left is the rooster. He also pants. IMG_5441.png

Mine are drinking plenty of water to help keep them hydrated, and they are still laying egg's even in the heat of summer. I live over here in the desert of Arizona near Phoenix.
