Chantecler roosters??? How aggressive are they?

They are very touchy, the rooster i had to deal with would not let his girls eat properly i.e. he was a pig, if you came near the hens he went after you if you turned your back on him watch out, he even drew blood. he's now in the soup pot. I generaly don't have problems with my roosters.
