Any EXTRA LARGE brahma U.S. breeders?

This thread is old, but I will say that the my Buff Brahma from Carolina Rare Chicks seems to be similar in size to some of the overseas ones. Might not be quite as large, but I'm pretty sure he's close. While I rehomed my Black Brahma cockerels when they were young, I don't doubt that they'd be similar in size to him too. Here are some pictures when my boy Cheeto was only about six months old! He's much more filled out now and is definitely the largest rooster I have ever owned. I can get more recent pictures if wanted :)View attachment 2468675View attachment 2468677

Definitely! Can't wait to see him now! For some reason I thought buffs were generally less big. Amazing.

Here's some recent pictures. I do think he's a bit less lanky now. It's also quite windy, I think his fluff makes him look bigger

Nice. Definitely going to check them out. That big for that young is really impressive.
Thanks! If you're just wanting big birds, I suspect that the Black Brahmas would be at least as "big" and were taller at about 16 weeks. This is my only Buff Brahma from them so I can't really say if he's the exception, but both black cockerels were large. All varieties from them that I got were bigger than average, however the buff laced and partridge seem to be the smallest ☺️

He's so fluffy!
My brahma doesn't so much run as he leaps everywhere, does yours do that too?

The funny part of having a rooster this big is that he has bass clucks. "What's that rumbling noise?"
Laird Bruce clucking.
Wow!! Yours is gorgeous! I love the purple on his wings 😍 Yes, my Cheeto is always talking in his low voice. I always know when he has found me to follow around the yard by his cacophony of deep clucks. I find it very interesting that yours leaps! I have raised probably close to 100 chickens now and he is the fastest one I have had yet 😳 He never walks, he runs everywhere! I honestly think he would be difficult to outrun, which is saying a lot when you're talking about a chicken!
