He's the big dude staring you down. He doesn't appreciate having his picture taken, so this is the best I've got :-( I say "he" because in a week he's doubled in size compared to his litter mate. Help/guesses please?

Are your ducklings the same breed? We got 3 Welsh Harlequin ducklings which I'm fairly sure are 2 ducks and a drake and the drake is the middle sized of the 3 but they're all pretty close in size.

Really hard to tell from the photo. Hard to tell even the breed from that position, as flipping CUTE as he/she is! :) Your best bet might be going by voice. Usually by 4 or 5 weeks, their voices start changing from just peeps. Females start quacking or honking and drakes will still either peep or the peep will turn more raspy or monotone. That's how I've managed to sex all of my currently 6 week old mallard bunch.

Thank you! I was outside when I posted and didn't realize how bad that picture was! Lol they are all muscovies, I think two are around two weeks old, the other two closer to four. I've had chickens for a year, this is my first time with ducks and I'm pretty clueless!

They sure are cute but still too young to tell gender other than vent sexing.

I don't think there 4wks not enough feathering... i am going to capture some shots today of my 4wk+ olds you'll see feathers popping out and i bet even you can find the single duck in amongst her brothers lol it's THAT obvious.

It's hard to get pictures trust me i know...

Here some i had earlier from last week... the one with the eye stripe is a duck.. the others are so not lol especially Goliath there

You can see the feathering... this pic was taken Tuesday they turned 4wks wed/thurs of that week. When i hold them, you can feel the weight difference and if i extend the feet i can measure on my hand roughly how much bigger the boys feet are in comparison.

WOW there sure is a difference! I was guessing their age based on info I found in another forum, where a certain number of inches of body length indicated age. Back to the drawing board! :)
I hope mine end up with interesting colours like yours did, quackers - they are lovely!
