Any Good Incubators Beyond Brinsea?

We would like to try our hand at hatching some eggs, however the Brinsea brand incubators are far outside my price point. Are there any other brands of incubators that cost less but that do a good job?

Get this. You can find it cheaper on Ebay, I think.... just do a search for '12 egg incubator'. Many members here have used this incubator and have been successful.... just get a separate temp/hygrometer for like $10 and calibrate it. It works.

I love my MagicFly incubator! I’ve incubated in it several times without issues. I’m actually incubating eggs in it right now! It does an awesome job with temp and humidity.

I've heard the Incuview from Incubator Warehouse is a nice incubator. They also make something called the Incukit mini which I've used to convert Cheapo yellow topped incubators to something useful. You can see how I did this in my Franken-bator links in my signature. Hopefully I'll get more use out of them once I get moved into a climate controlled house. They aren't able to keep up with the temp changes in my old farm house for starting eggs, so I used them for lock down. I still love my Brinsea Ovation 28 EX. Really kicked myself afterward for not spending the extra $100 to get the 58 egg version. I was using that as my starter incubator (day 0-17).

If you have an environment that isn't climate controlled for the incubator, I highly recommend the Brinsea incubators.

I use this incubator and have had good hatches. It’s not as hands free as the brinsea but definitely on hundred percent better than the cheap still air. I use a second thermometer/hygrometer, wrap a scarf around it. Regulating humidity can be a challenge but after a few days I figured out how much and when I needed to add water. I also used the Nature Right 360 but it wasn’t mine and in summer so really didn’t get a good feel for how well it could regulate temperature.

As said above, for an easy and good desktop incubator, the Genesis 1588’s are very good. I have 3 of them that I use as overflow hatchers in addition to 3 cabinets and 5 dedicated hatchers.

Hi highly recommend Brinsea, but Rcom probably have the edge. A local breeder friend of mine reckons MS Broedmachine’s are the best money can buy. IMO get the best you can afford
