This is Sid. Named after Sid on Ice Age. Cuz he/she is so ugly he/she is cute. Plus Sid could go either way. I know these aren't the best pics but I was hoping someone may have an idea? Sid will be 7 weeks old tomorow.

lol. Well I was kinda hoping for a her...just because its super attached to me. But I guess if Sid is a him that will do too. How did you come up with that? I mean what kind of things do you look for?

All the barring on the back feathers, females will start losing the barring. Maybe a little early , check the new feathers coming in. If they don't have barrs then female. By the pics look like they have barring.

Awesome. I will have to look closer at Sid tomorow. At what age do they start to lose the barring if they are going to?

About 6 weeks , by 3 months they are easy to tell them apart, like the ones in the pics. If you can tell the new feathers coming in you will be able to sex them early.

Now greens and spalding the females will have barring also.
