Any guesses on age or gender?

This is our light Brahma that we picked up 3 weeks ago from a local breeder. If she was one of the chicks I saw when I paid, she should be about 6 weeks old. Does this look right? My husband has been referring to her as Lady Einstein because of her fluffed out head. You can see she is starting to get the darker feathers on the head.

Okay. Awesome. Thank you. Just trying to keep our little ones straight on age. Want to make sure to keep them warm enough at night. I barely slept worrying! I had them in their coop without the heat lamp on. Any guesses on the gender?

Looks closer to 4 weeks. So far is say hen this is my 5 week old and she has no more fluff on her head

She is a brahma, and I know they take a bit longer to develop, which has been hard to guess her age. She looks the same agr as the chick we got who was about a week behind her (orpington).We got her 3 weeks ago and she was obviously older than a one week chick when we got her. Your pullet is a cutie! What breed?

Oh! Maybe she is a little older than if the breed is slow to develop. i would love to add a Brahma or a cochin to my flock. The one in thepicture above is a mutt. Couldnt even guess what she is but she had 5 toes

I was just reading about a breed that has 5 toes... What was it... Is it silkie? I think favorelle's have 5 too. Super cute! Our other brahma is a silver laced dark brahma. She's still little too, I'm guessing about 9 weeks old. Love their fluffy little feet.

That's what i want if a fluffy footed one! I'm not sure what breed she got the extra toes from, but i heard it is a dominant trait. I know she doesn't have silky in her though!

this is Abigail. She's our silver laced dark brahma. The brahmas are also known as gentle giants. Very sweet birds. Good big all purpose birds. We don't intend to eat ours, but some people like that.
