Any guesses on breed?

The lighter colored one appears to be getting a pea comb suggesting Easter Egger, which is what we were shooting for, but local feed store staff really had no insight on what breeds they were offering. Little worried that the pea comb might have three rows, but I also know that isn't definitive with mixed breeds, just need to watch the size/color.

Any thoughts appreciated!

I don't believe they are EE's, mostly because of their feet... Try looking up images for welbar chicks. I'm pretty sure there's a possibility of them being that.

Thanks so much for the responses so far!

Tried to get a better picture of their legs/feet, but the lighting wasn't the greatest. The smaller/darker colored one has darker legs. Wouldn't say they are straight up green like a lot of EE's, but definitely a difference. The larger/lighter one has more yellow legs, but there is a darker hueue starting to develop on the fronts of them.

I see what you mean... And the leg color of EE's just depends on the genetic background. Most however do have green/blue legs. I would say that if you don't think that they are welbar's just by looking at the feather composition and color pattern that they could be welsummer chicks. Hope I could help!

Updated pics, should be around 3 weeks.

Not 6-8 weeks yet, but wanted to post some updated pics to see if there were any changes of opinion on breed/mix. (also threw in a couple funny pics with the cat and our Buff Orps)

The smaller one we have temporarily named Gonzo because she had a pretty severe curved beak early on which we had to trim so she could eat/drink. She also had an impacted crop from eating pine chips, not sure how that one is still alive. She was always smaller, maybe a runt, but her growth seems a little stunted as well.

The larger of the two we have temporarily named Craig because there are some Roo'ish features and character traits, so it may end up on Craig's List. We learned with our Buff Orps though to pretty much ride it out until they lay or crow because we had one we swore was a Roo, however it ended up being the first one to lay an egg out of the bunch.

Craig really has us stumped on breed, mix and sex up to this point. Gonzo seems to have GLW in there if I had to guess.
