Any guesses on color or sex?

That looks very young for a peachick. What's the protein level? My chicks looked like this at a month. The two peachicks on the left are one month old and the chicks on the right are three weeks old. My chicks begin to grow crest feathers around three weeks old is when the quills poke through the skin.
Oh

the spikes are starting! I have her on chick starter feed 20% protein

You know what I'm right my sister is wrong I checked date on the hatching video she hatched Aug 4th so she will just be 3 weeks Tuesday! Sorry

It's ok, at least your learning more about your peachick and what to expect and that all of us pea owners on BYC can help you that have experience in this area. When the chick gets around a month you should start to see neck feathers growing in and I believe you will start seeing color on the neck around 6 to 8 weeks.

That's exciting!! This is the only egg that hatched and survived! So she is very special to us and spoiled!

I was curious she is in a homemade box with chips and toys but she loves to perch so I was wondering if I should move her. I have a bird cage from when I had cockatiels could I put her in there or is that not good?

Give her somewhere to perch. Peafowl feel safe when perched up high.

So birdcage would be better it has perches? Or put perch in the one she is in?

I would give her a perch where she is. During the day they like to walk around and then at night they like to perch. Peafowl tend to remain on the ground and walk around until they feel the need to perch. Doesn't need to be something big just something she could perch on.
