Any guesses on gender for splash and blue Cochin chicks?

These splash and blue Cochin chicks are 5 weeks old and I have zero guesses on gender as I am new to Cochins, any guesses?

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but those are not cochins. They look like silkies which are one of the hardest to sex at this age.

Lol is that why they look so fluffy? I got them from a hatchery on ordered blue n splash Cochins but I'm ok with Silkies too

And I guess I should have mentioned they have 5 toes on their feet, is this another sign of a Silkie?

Yes it is I was going to ask you about the toes. Also cochins are not crested.

Also if you look at their skin it should be black. PS...so is the meat on a Silkie and if I remember right the bones are blue. I know you can't check the last two.

Those are silkies, and you wont be able to tell gender for at least another 10 weeks

Ok so know that I know they are Silkies I'm starting from scratch with knowledge, how do I know if they are bantams? I ordered them from Cackle as standard Cochins so I don't know?

Tee hee mommas chickens looks like someone mucked up your order and good on you for being OK with it; I would be happy with Silkies also

As the other posters have mentioned, you have a while to wait before you know if they are boys or girls but I just wanted to let you know that they sure are CUTE!

They are almost guaranteed to be bantam, LF silkies are really rare
