Any guesses on what color eggs these girls will lay?

The one with the fluffy too has red ear lobes and kinda has a bluish tint to her legs. Someone told me she may lay colored eggs

I have two of these chickens. They’re classroom chicks so I have no clue what they are but they have white ear lobes so I’m assuming she’ll lay white eggs

ear lobe color only works for US breeds. That is not from the US so all bets are off!

I would guess blue or green

Yay... I hope they lay colored eggs. I have one lavender ameracauna that lays a bluish/green egg

There is no genetic link between ear lobe color and egg shell color, even in purebreds. It often seems there is some connection but that is just how the SOP for that breed was written. When you mix breeds all that is out of the window. There is no genetic connection whatever.

I'm not going to try to guess what might be in their ancestry. Genetics get jumbled when you mix breeds. If you know of any pure breeds in their immediate ancestry we might be able to make a good guess, especially if some were breeds that lay blue eggs.

I like to mix breeds. I've had white ear lobed hens that laid brown eggs. I developed my own Easter Eggers that laid green or blue eggs. Some EE's had white ear lobes, some had red. Some had a pea comb, some had a single comb. Some legs were black, some yellow, some white. None of that is a guarantee as to what color eggs the hen will lay. As Aart said you will find out when they lay. But if they hatched form a blue or green egg they have at least a 50-50 chance of laying colored eggs.

Good luck!

I have no idea what color eggs they came from. I want to say that only one colored egg hatched but I’m not sure. My son’s teacher was t very familiar with anything about chickens. I looked in the incubator and I know there were some colored eggs there were also some chocolate eggs so hopefully they’ll start laying soon and we’ll figure out who lays what color. They were born the week of May 7-11 so it shouldn’t be long.

All are mixes. The first pic is a Legbar mix. The bird in the back of the 3rd pic is an Easter Egger. The other bird looks like a possible Wyandotte or Dominique cross.
I’ve always thought she was a Wyandotte cross too. I had two golden laced that got attacked by a fox. I have two of those they look almost exactly the same the other has a little bit more gold around her neck. And yes I know that one is an Easter egger. I’m so excited that she was a girl. I love the colored eggs.
