Any hope for this chick? Video.

I can't get the video, but it sounds like it could be star gazing or encephalomalacia. I would treat the chick with vitamin B1 thiamine, vitamin E, and the mineral selenium, which is found in egg. Poultry Nutri-drench and Poultry Cell vitamins contains all of those, and the dosage is 1 ml daily for a small chick.

Great treatment information to know. Hope the chick gets better.

I saw the video this time. Thanks Phoenix5ire. It looks like the chick has neurological problems related to it's hatch. Chicks that have had problems like that usually died within a day or two. I would give it vitamin/electolyte water as often as you can to hopefully get it to act more normal.

Great info. to know, I just bought some chicks and they were shipped to me, I had several chicks that were very weak, 2 of them started acting just like the one in the video. The chicks couldn't drink on their own so every 2-3hrs, I manually gave it a 1/2 to 1 ml warm water-honey mix, via oral syringe. At the same time, kept the temperature in the 90s degree to keep them warm. They both recovered and survived, I was very happy.

Thanks.

Thank you. I did start giving the chick nutridrench and have been giving it water. It will sit with its head back but not flipping over, as long as I am not touching it. I will try adding the honey to the water and electrolytes. I appreciate the information.
