Stupid question maybe- but is an EE just a catch all for a barnyard mix ? I thought it meant it had to have a blue egg gene, how can u tell ? These chickens all look very different from one another. They look like Easter eggers. A Maran mix for the bottom two and the top one not too sure the mix but an EE.
Not a stupid question. Just learning. EE is a bird that is the product of a brown egg gene and blue egg gene bird. When that happens they usually will lay a green or blue egg. Barnyard mix is any mix really. But olive egger and Easter eggers are usually bred with a blue and brown or a blue and dark brown breed to produce a certain colored egg.Stupid question maybe- but is an EE just a catch all for a barnyard mix ? Easter eggers are any bird that has the possibility of laying colored, green, blue, olive etc eggs, not all do but that doesn't mean they're not ee.Stupid question maybe- but is an EE just a catch all for a barnyard mix ?
