Any idea on gender of this silkie? (New pics page 3, post 24)

I think it's about 3 months old now. Something like that. Not mine originally.

Would also appreciate input on color. I call it silver, but I'm pretty positive it's not a recognized pure color. It looks like shades of silver to me. It's name is Sterling, for an idea. Some profiles/pics make it appear male to me and others decidedly female. Grrr! It has lots more feathers trying to come in the crest, too, especially in back.

My gut feeling is boy, btw, but would have no problem being wrong. It will not be staying here, regardless and hens are definitely easier to rehome.

I would say it is a boy. and maybe blueXbuff or a blue with ALOT of leakage

Looks like a pullet to me too...It looks like a blue splash????I might be wrong but with silkie genitics dont you get 50% splash and 50% blue when you breed blue to blue? But a couple of the pics looks like there may be some buff in there somewhere?

I was looking at pic 4, the other pics dont look like the same bird to me. It's probaly just the light?
