Yea, that's what I thought. Kinda looks like some sort of mix. I don't think I've ever seen a chicken that has looked like this that was pure bred...

It's weirdly partridge and red all at the same time.

Seems mixed. Red gold duckwing (not partridge) is present in Welsummers, but they have red earlobes. My Welsummer over Wheaten Ameraucana pullet is a similar color to this. I noticed the red more on her than the Welsummers. Obviously this bird isn't half Ameraucana, but it reminds me of my hen.

She laid her first egg today! It was a very light blue. Does this help?
