There are a number of breeds and hybrids that have black chicks like those including Black Australorps and female Black Sex Links (both of which are very common at tractor supply) so it's impossible to say with any certainty at this point what breeds they are. I would post their pics again in about 5-6 weeks. By then the breed and gender should be pretty obvious.

Ok thanks! I'll post more pics when there older,These are the other 4 which were just labeled reds lol,A buddy of mine mentioned maybe there red rouges?there about 3 weeks now so I'm assuming still to young

Iv searched and searched looking at red ranger chicks and I haven't found any that are so yellow, all the red rangers iv seen have some dark areas/redish areas even as chicks so I'm wondering if these are red rangers,Me and my family weren't planning on raising meat chickens we just want good egg layers so I was planning on giving these to a buddy,But I want to make sure there not a different breed that may be a good egg layer before I give them to him lol

Your black chicks look like Black Australorps. I think that your whitish ones are White Plymouth Rocks.

Thank u! Even though I'm a noob from all the research iv done I'd agree to,Is tractor supply known for selling the chicks by the wrong name?I sure hope so lol,Since these were labeled red ranger we were worried we would have to just get rid of them because we didn't want mainly meat chickens,So we will gladly hold on to these guys to be sure.

So here's a couple bigger pics these chicks are getting lots of breastfeeding feathers now and growing rapidly,While my black ones are slowly growing,This was about 4 days ago
