Hi All,

I hoping some of you more experienced types can help out a first-time parent!

Any ideas what breed this chick is? Or is it just a mix? Also, are there any clues as yet if she is a he or he is a she? It's one month old.

Although if its a rooster the neighbors may not like it - it has a home for life here as the whole family has gone giddy in love with it.

Thanks all - you are right I've googled it and it does look like a Cochin type. I got the egg off a friend who has quite a large flock and didn't have a clue what it was!
