I was very honored. They needed a home and I couldn't pass up the offer. I know here with me they will get the care they need.

I would spend some time reading up on chicken illnesses. If your current birds are not sick these new additions will pass whatever they have to them even if they appear better after a treatment regimen. This is would not be the case if they were perhaps on wet bedding or dirty conditions and exposed to ammonia. Chickens do not get colds, if they sick with any of a number of poultry diseases they will remain life long carriers and will pass it to the rest of your flock. I learned this the hard way earlier this year and as a result lost my entire flock. I had nearly 150 birds counting guineas, chickens, and turkeys. Very traumatic. Imo not worth it for two mixed breed cockerals.
