Hi! So I recently (yesterday) got a Rex rabbit from a local woman who had to clear her rabbits out. Wanting to help her and also start raising rabbits. Anyway when i got her home I noticed her eye was really strange. I can't imagine its good, but she's about 2 and a yalf yrs old and the lady told me she's had it her entire life. I'd still like to know what it is if anyone has an idea.
Thanks!

If you look at the last entry on the link below, I think there is some resemblance to what you see in your rabbit.

WARNING: GRAPHIC AND POSSIBLY DISTURBING IMAGES OF EYE DISEASES IN THE LINK!

http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Eye_diseases/Clinical/Eye_diseases.htm

Basically, what it says is that tumors like this are caused by the rabbit's eye being infected with the parasite Encephalitozoan cuniculi while the rabbit was still developing inside its mother.

Following a treatment regimen involving an anti-parasitical (like fenbendazole) may not do anything for the tumors, but it can help prevent some of the other conditions related to E cuniculi from developing.

hmm sounds like a trip to the vet is in order. Thanks!
