Here are the two "black" Langshans. The bigger one (joe) is getting darker, whereas Bea is getting more white feathers in. Does she look like a crossbreed, or is this how a blue moults?
Here is Josephine, the largest of all the chicks, next to Pasquale the Rooster. The chicks were bought on 5/21, and they were probably a day or two old at the time. I read that Langshans do tend to be tall. Can anyone tell me if the chicks are likely to end up as Bantams or full sized birds?
And here is a close up of Mary's wing. What would the pattern be? She's not spotted, or laced and it's not quite barred...?
OH, and one more thing! My wife thinks Theresa, the Sussex may be a boy ("gut feeling"). Is it possible to tell this early? Any guesses? (the chicks were all purchased as sexed, but I know its something like a 90% certainty only)
