Any Ideas On Keeping Chickens From Roosting On Top Of Door

Hello, we’ve been busy renovating our chicken house and the run for our new babies (photos to follow when we’re finished). There is a door and two windows in the house and they all open into the house itself but I know chickens like to roost up there and I’d like to deter them from doing that. Any ideas? I had read once to put AstroTurf on top of the door, has anyone here done that?

Lots of reasons that they prefer the door to the roots. Roosts could be too close to the wall, in too strong a breeze, too thick, too skinny, too low, too high... and of course the obvious, just because.
