Any ideas on what breed she is?

HI PERFECTLY POLISH, I was just reading your post and looking at the ?hen, sorry I'm new to chickens, or should I say newly addicted!

so I don't know what kind she is, but I did notice your location! My hubby grew up in the manor and I grew up in Uncasville, We just moved to Gales Ferry about 4 years ago, real close to Holmberg's Orchards. I think you're the closest to me that I've seen so far, but then again I did just join last nite!

Hello everyone else too, Michelle

That is a Silver Penciled Wyandotte Hen. Beautiful girl...she looks to be about 3-4 years in age.
Good Luck with her:)

I know tons of people in the manor. We used to live on Chesterfield Rd. right accross from Murphy School but we moved to Rt. 163 for a bigger house and more land for the animals. Plus the house came with a huge shed converted to a barn, a built in dog kennel in the basement and a huge kennel outside, plus we're surronded by woods and no neighbors, haha. We've probably seen each other around and didn't even know

What types of chickens do you have? And mostly every one here is addicted to chickens, I know I am. Welcome to BYC maybe I'll see you around town sometime!

3-4 years? Wow I thought she was much younger then that, she has never laid an egg, not even at her other location.

Hi perfectly pollish, Funny, our 1st home was a trailer on Chesterfield Rd, back in the late 80's

Then we moved to the house I grew up in on Woodland Dr. We probably passed each other in Beit Bros before!

We have all bantams so far blue blk and splash orps, some ameracaunas, 1 aracauna, and some silkies. My dh's parents still live in the manor for 6 months out of the year. My mom's at crossroads place in waterford, assisted living. Dh is a plumber, so if you ever need one send me a message, Michelle

I'm at beit bros all the time so I'm sure we have. Isn't it weird that there are so many chicken people around us and we don't even realize it. We may be needing a plumber soon because we are thinking about putting a bathroom downstairs in the basement so if we do i'll deffiently keep you guys in mind. We mostly have standards breeds and a few bantams, plus my order from MMH has lots of bantams in it. Have you ever been up to salem feed in grain, it's on rt 82 right off of old colchester road?

This seems to be an Iowa Blue hen. I have a picture of an example, and your hen matches perfectly.

EDIT: i just saw the yellow legs, iowa blues have dark black legs, so i'm assuming it's an iowa blue crossed with something with yellow legs.

I was gonna say she looks like a wyandotte of some kind to me. I have Silver laced and othe than the feather coloring she looks a lot like mine. She's pretty though!
Wyandottes can be aloof and skiddish too.

She could be younger than that.....but I wouldnt know unless actually being able to hold and look at the hen in person. She has the look of an older hen though to me. And still sticking by Silver Penciled Wyandotte as for the breed.
Here is a hen from Feathersite.com
