Any ideas on what this one is?

Yea they are bantams they are vey good looking birds. I love bantams... But since this guy who gave you the egg is a cock fighter maybe it is a mix of a couple kinds that is maybe why he just gave it to you?!

Lol probably. He takes his chickens seriously though, I bought him some fruit and we were talking about chickens(I had chickens but then I moved them to another land, then got ticks!) and how i was going to get some chickens to get rid of that infestation and he decided to give me an egg lol. So i got a bantam rooster(i like them too lol) and since i got an egg from a cockfighter, i decided to get some of my old hens that will probably kinda look like a game chicken so that egg wont feel so left out(someone told me that game breeds have different personalitys than other chickens) but im just glad that they did get rid of my tick problems lol!

Oh yea they will totally get rid of ticks and grasshoppers and any other bug they can find.. All chickens have incredible personalities that is one thing I love about them

.. I have to say though the most out going, curious and brave of the poultry in my opinion is the turkey.. I just love watching them. My chickens are all different individually and I love that. After going thru some sites with chicken pics I'm pretty sure this is a game bird but I just havent narrowed it down. I am going to keep looking and post if I find something..

You are probably right about it being mixed though because i did see the pictures of game birds lol. And i have 3 turkeys(1 male, 2 females) but my guinea decided he likes turkeys! Big problem that i have to fix lol but they are fun, my male is just one big showoff, he goes around just strutting his stuff, no matter who it is(chicken, goose, ducks and even the parrots that fly around lol) but lately hes looked a bit sad now that the guinea to his females haha. Btw, if that hen lays eggs and the rooster is the cute little bantam, will the chicks be like a bantam game mix? Cause that will look funny lol! Thanks for helping out!

Aw poor Tom.. I have heard of guinea and turkey pairing up. Yea if you hatched her eggs that is what it would be. half the eggs with be girls and half boys, the girls will take on the fathers attributes and males take the mothers. They would be cute.. If you were to hatch I wanna see. I'm glad I could help..

If they lay, i will probably hatch em and make sure to send you a pic lol.

She's a Game mix of some sort. Absolutely not a Modern Game. Legs are too short & body type is all wrong. Games are great birds. The Old English Game Club's motto is "Real Chickens". Very hardy, decent layers, great mothers & they live a long time. I have an 11 year old Game hen that just hatched 8 chicks out of 9 eggs she sat on [her own eggs]. The fact that you got her from someone who fights games makes it all but certain that's what she is.

I really want to add some games and some jungle fowl next season. I have never done them and looking for something different

She looks like an American game bird. They are usually small though not bantum, between three and four pounds and most. She looks like she has greenish legs? She may be a bit flighty but will tame down for you, games are always a bit nervous, however very smart and good broodies...she looks like a keeper!
