Hi! This is my first time raising chicks/chickens, although growing up my mom always had them.
My friend and I split a large order of mixed breeds of chicks. I purchased 12 chicks for myself (and one exotic rooster.) They were hatched on March 4th. During the mailing process a few died one of which we thought was the exotic rooster mystery chick. I am now left with 2 Whiting Blues, 2 Whiting Greens and what I thought were 8 Austrolorps. However, I believe that one of which I thought was the Austrolorps may actually be the mystery chick. Now that they are bigger I can tell that they look nothing alike. This one is a grey color, with some darker grey on the back and a light colored cone. Can anyone help me identify the breed of this and if it is a rooster? I was thinking maybe Andalusian? Or Lavender? Thank you!
