Any ideas to keep them out?

Putting your cats' food up at night may also help. My grandmother does this for her two outdoor kitties. They have food all day, but at night it's taken up so that the nocturnal creatures don't have a free meal. I agree with what everyone else said about being certain that your coop is strong and very secure. Raccoons are crafty and usually very determined. Good sturdy wood with 1/4" or 1/2" hardware cloth over openings is good as well as the electric wire mentioned above. Latches will need to be a bit more intricate than just a lever or one that simply rolls to the side. Chicken wire is a definite no as they can easily get past those. Secure your hardware cloth with washers vs staples. I've read that some raccoons have been able to pull the cloth away from the run or coop staples and all. Since you know that you have a certain type of predator it will give you a leg up in preventing attacks. HTH...and if you're trapping I've heard people say marshmallows are good bait
