Hi, due to government restrictions my fowl are locked in their coops to try reduce spread of bird flu. Recently I have seen a pair of foxes in the field beside my runs at night. When I shine a light into the field I can see their eyes. There is always 2 together. 2 weeks ago my dog Ben had to be put asleep. He kept the foxes away for 13 years but now they seem to be braver. I chase the foxes away 1 runs the other runs a bit and hides in the grass and let's me get very near to it. It seems to have no fear of humans. I'm making more secure predator proof runs for my birds and I'm moving them away where the foxes usually be. I never see them near the coops during the day. Is there anything I can do to keep them away.

Sorry, you are dealing with foxes! I have one coming around too. Maybe some light solar lamps will work. Do you have electric fencing around your coop?

If your coops and runs are predator proof, and you don't have any food out there for them, all will be well. And as Al mentioned, they are there for rodent control, a very good thing.
Electrified poultry netting should work well, or a couple of electric wires off set from your run walls, with a good fence charger attached.
