So these are my mothers day gifts:D

Any ideas as to what breed/mix they are and hold old they are?

Thanks.

They are so friendly it surprises me! There are 5 reddish ones with slight chipmunk-like stripes down their backs and one all yellow one. The reddish ones have reddish feathers coming in and the yellow one has white feathers.

<whispers> I got them for myself, hehe!

They look like Rhode Island Reds, If they are you are in luck. 80% of the chipmunked striped RIR are pullets. Mine looked a lot like that when they hatched. Also, my TSC carried RIR's.

I would say the red ones are Production reds, or red sex links. The all buff one may be a buff orpington.

Forgot: The red ones could be RIR, but since they are hatchery stock they will turn out like Production reds most likely.

The white/yellow one could be a white rock as well. Looks like our girl did when we got her from TSC. SHe is one of the sweetest ones we have.
The others look like RIR or red sex link. You can tell easier when they start to feather out. They are uber cute though!!!

I got this one from TSC in the assorted pullets bin and it looked like the one in her pic in the back of the group, above. Is it a White Rock? I would really like to know too ...thanks!

most of the light chipmunk ones I have seen have been golden comets.....

it is possible that they are not a "name brand" of birds at all. When were at TSC one morning a box came from a hatchery I had never heard of. They sell their own brand of chicks.
Good Luck
