Any ideas? UPDATE Another chicken died LAST NIGHT

My second chicken died last night and when we found her this morning she had blood and gunk that had flowed out of her mouth? Does anyone know what it could be? the only symptoms were that she just laid there and her breathing was hoarse. The rest of the girls seem fine so far. Anyone dealt with this before?

I'm so sorry to hear about your chicken! Wish I had some answers for you - did you post all the relevant info - ages of your chickens, diet, symptoms, etc?

Sounds like congestive heart failure. Just a guess. The blood from the heart backed up into the lungs. She would have been very lathargic, wheezing and coughing. I am sorry for your loss. Hopefully its wasent a bug that the others will or already have. Good luck with the flock.
