This chick is approximately 4 weeks old. Got it with 4 others from the feed store here locally. This was a group of barnyard specials that they had gotten the eggs from some local people and incubated them and they have no idea what kind it could be or even what color egg it came out of. Any ideas? Also is a very large chick compared to the other 4.

I'm not seeing beard/muff indications on this one so probably not an Ameraucana. It might be an Easter Egger. Only way to know is if it lays a blue egg.

No beard/muffs, just fuzzy around the neck and thighs, weird has feathers everywhere else. Also legs are not green (they look like it in this pic for some reason) the are dark blackish color.

Since EE's are a usually a mix of breeds it's very well possible it could still lay a blue egg despite having no muff/beard. Possibly it could be an Olive Egger which is a blue egg gene carrying bird (EE, Araucana or Ameraucana) crossed with a dark brown egg laying breed which are black breeds a lot of the time. It will lay a dark olive green colored egg. That could account for the pea comb but the lack of muff/beard. Just my guess anyways.

That would be cool too. It is just so odd looking compared to all the others and like 3 times as big, it is huge!

This bird looks just like the one I posted tonight trying to figure out.

I was torn between blue orp and blue maran. She sure is pretty though huh!

Hmm, it does look like the one you posted. May have to look into those 2 types and see. I know, I this blue-gray color on the ones we have. Might like to have some more this color.

Well just so you don't spend forever looking it up, LOTS of birds come in blue. :p

This one isn't the Blue Andalusion though, it doesn't have white ears.
