any ideas???

Does anyone have any advice for keeping ducks out of the horses water troughs?? They just discovered this new swimming area and are making the water nasty. I already rinse them each day anyway, but now it's twice a day or Yukk.

hmmmm, pen up the ducks.

Could you use some type of mesh wire over the troughs w/holes big enough for the horses to get their noses down into the water but not large enough for the ducks to swim? Or, if the troughs are on the ground put them up high enough that the ducks don't want to get into them but the horses could still reach the water.
