Any ideas?

The first is a brown leghorn, which lays white eggs. The second looks like a partridge rock, which would lay brown eggs. Some would call them "cream" or "tinted". My partridge rocks have been laying very lightly tinted, almost whitish eggs.

if the chickens ear lobes are colored a non-white color than they are gonna lay a non-white egg even if it is so close to white that you cant tell the difference, it will have a little color in it, but sometimes the earlobe can be a very very light tan color and super hard to tell..... if your chicken has a white ear lobe than it will lay a white egg.

I'd take blazejester's word about the second hen, but that first one is definately a brown leghorn, a white egg laying machine. They eat almost nothing, aren't the friendliest as a rule, and crank out large white eggs almost daily.
