I have a silkie rooster that I found in the rain. He was standing up soaking wet and as I watched the ducks ran him over. He fell over and just stayed there. I thought he might be cold and/or dehydrated so I brought him in, gave him a warm bath to get the duck slime off him ;0) dried him off, fed him pellets, scrambled eggs and water with pedialyte... He ate and drank just fine and slept the afternoon and evening away standing in the cat carrier we put him in. He made it though the last two nights but won't move or even lie down. I had a friend suggest a slipped tendon around the hock... So I took him out side and gave him a thorough check up...

He seems a bit tender on his right leg but the left seems just a tad bigger or more swollen in the main "knee" joint. The foot is not drawn up though at all on either side. When I set him down he wobbles and falls over. After some coaxing he took two wobbly steps towards some dandilions and managed to stay on his feet... I don't see any evidence of trauma other than the tramlping I witnessed by the ducks. They weren't attacking him, just trying to get past him. He is super sweet and easily handled, always has been. He doesn't seem in pain other than being wobbly and not putting weight on his feet. Perhaps a tad under weight and since he has been inside the last 3 days his waddles and comb seem to be kind of dry... No coughing, sneezing, mucus, his eyes seem fine, no leisions, mites, etc. And the rest of the flock of 20 show no signs of illness... I have seen previous posts suggesting low vit B. Should I give B12 or something else? and a children's liquid multi.... I'll try that. Hate to cull him for an injury if will recover, but don't wish a caged life on any bird.... Thanks for any advice. I don't have any helpful photo's as there isn't any real difinitive visual trait that suggest injury or illness.

This is just an normal photo of Cricket (2 year old silkie roo...)
