Any insight as to breed(s)?

They wound up being very beautiful birds!! Cochin x Orpington is a great mix being large, loose feathered, and docile. I had English Orpingtons and Brahmas and had considered crossing the two because both breed traits are fairly similar

Here they are at almost 20 weeks.
Definitely have some cochin in them as they are all now bigger than my buff orpingtons, even little Jellybean who's much smaller than her splash "sister".

Thank you! I agree with you, but I'm also keenly aware I'm extremely biased.
Now we'll see which breed they take after when it comes to laying. If Orpington vs Cochin, I'm praying Orpington.

And yes, also think EO x Brahma would be a neat cross. Gonna goggle that rn and see what I find.

Here they are now, at 8 mos old. All 3 are great birds! Calm, quiet & docile.
Buddy is the nicest, most calm & laid-back cockerel &/or rooster I've ever been around. He's a such a good boy, so we kept him despite my saying I would never again have a rooster.
The pullets are bigger than my buff orpingtons. "Rounder" & "poofier" also good descriptors. & they have smaller combs. Also have deeper "voices". Jellybean's (blue) is almost like a honk! It's so stinkin' cute!
Both started laying around 25-26 wks old. They blue one seems to lay more often than the splash. 4+ eggs/wk vs 2+.
I've also attached pics of their eggs: Blue pullet's on far left-darker brown & more round. Smaller in size than her sister's, but weigh in heavier. Splash pullet lays the light cream egg. The first 2 on the left laid by buff orps. The one on far right is from our Production Blue.
While my Buff orpingtons have always been my favorites, they may have been dethroned. But shhh. Don't tell them!
